CNNMoney website reported reported the average wage in King County fell by 1.8 percent from the second quarter of 2003 to the second quarter of 2005. Fortunately the decline is a statistical artifact, reflecting the inclusion of Microsoft employee stock option income in wages for the earlier quarter but not for the later quarter.
